Howcome lotus became white?

One more stage in General elections in India got completed with two to go. Indian Election Commission should be applauded for its efforts in conducting the elections in a very peaceful manner so far. Another great feature of this election is uniformly higher voting percentage compared to the earlier elections due to the efforts of Election Commission.

Coming back to the politicians, several of them displayed either foot in the mouth disease or arrogance over the last one week. There is the case of a politician from Congress who tendered an unconditional apology to a politician of BJP who has put on a defamation case. There is another politician from Telangana who sent notices to actor turned politician (?) Pawan Kalyan for accusing him of having business relationship with another politician from Andhra.

Then there is the case of Mr Chiranjeevi of Congress (brother of Pawan Kalyan but both are in different camps now) who tried to barge into polling booth ahead of the people waiting and was prevented by one voter and has to wait literally a hour to cast his vote.  Clearly a case of sheer arrogance on part of Mr Chiranjeevi.

We saw today Mr Chandrababu came out and announced that he is sad for not voting to his own party. Well this is of his own doing as he left the seats to BJP under poll alliance. Well actually there is no need for him to declare to whom he has voted.

We also saw the BJP Prime Ministerial candidate Mr Modi voting and took a selfie of his inked finger with a backdrop of lotus and tweeted. He conducted a meeting immediately near the poll booth to declare victory for his party (read himself). Election Commission took a serious view of the same and ordered lodging of FIR against on violation of Poll Code.

Leaving apart the controversy and FIRs, if one looks at the lotus symbol displayed by Mr Modi which is white in colour (I hope I am not colour blind) instead of the saffron coloured one displayed on the posters and used by other people from the same party. In fact, if one looks at the immediate past, the lotus symbol worn by him in meetings during January and part of February was Saffron in colour and turned to white after that.

I wonder whether BJP has changed the colour of their symbol or are we looking at a situation where the party is getting transformed / railroaded by the so called Modi Wave.
