Gods must be crazy - Gods started inviting people to contest elections

Gods must be crazy is what I felt when I heard great Chhote Sardar declared that Maa Ganga invited / invoked him to contest elections from Varanasi. May be Maa Ganga was a member of the so called central election committee of BJP and impressed upon other members of the committee to make Chhote Sardar to contest from Varanasi. If the gods really started taking an interest in indian politics why asking one to contest elections at all. They can as well make one a PM or even a President directly (a la Gerald Ford a former American President).

Coming to the talk of Chhote Sardar, what happened to the real sardar (Vallabhai Patel) now a days whom the great Chhote Sardar invoked frequently at the beginning of his canvassing. Believe the name was invoked only once during the last one month in Hyderabad (because the original sardar played a role in annexation of Nizam's kingdom). Even in his interviews to TV channels one can see only a statue of Swami Vivekananda on his table. Seems the original sardar has once again been consigned back to the dusty annals of Indian History only to be revived when required.

Musings of an unknown citizen

Alliances and More Looks like the main opposition party is a real hurry to get into power. The party which terms itself as “A party with a difference” is proving itself to be really different this time. They are ready to enter into an alliance with whatever and whoever ready to join them like the yet to be born party like Jana Sena started by Mr Pawan Kalyan (brother of Mr Chiranjeevi a Tollywood matinee idol). Pawan Kalyan himself is one of the leading actors in Tollywood which is dominated by the Mega family (Mega Star was / is an petname for Chiranjeevi). Jana Sena Party has been only announced days back and does not even have a proper office of its own. However the country's main opposition party is ready to join in an alliance with them.
